Washing Fleece - 10 Steps for Fantastic Results

Washing fleece from fiber animals is really not hard. Are you afraid of ruining your fleece? Worried about felting it? You CAN wash your fleece and get fantastic results by following the 10 steps below.

1. Pick out vegetable matter before washing and wash your raw fleece as soon as possible after it has been removed from the animal. Leaving dirt in a fleece will attract bugs.

2. Use lingerie bags. The bags keep your fleece together when moving it from bath and rinse water. Don't overstuff the bags, though. Water won't be able to circulate through all the fleece. Put the fleece very loosely in the bag. Better to have less than too much in the bag. The bags will, also, help to minimize any agitation which helps to keep your fleece from felting.

3. Use VERY HOT water. As hot as possible. Don't worry, hot water alone will not felt your fleece.

4. Use detergent, not soap. Soap will felt your fleece. Soap is alkaline and will open the scales on your wool actually helping it to felt. Dawn dish washing liquid is a favorite for washing fleece. Another possibility is a product called Basic H by Shaklee. It is a biodegradable (all natural) product. It isn't cheap, but you will probably only have to wash your fleece once.

5. Do not put your fleece in the sink or bathtub (or whatever container you are using to wash) while it is filling with water. This will agitate the fleece and cause it to felt. No swishing either.

6. Gently push the bag in the water. Let soak for 20 minutes. If your water significantly cools in 10 minutes, then remove the bag, refill the sink, and soak for another 10 minutes for a total of 20 minutes soaking time.

7. Take the bag out and drain. Repeat a second and third wash if necessary to remove all the dirt. Drain.

8. Rinse in cool water with a dash of vinegar. Drain.

9. Use a salad spinner or washing machine to spin out excess water.

10. Remove the fleece from the lingerie bag and spread out to dry on a screen or towel. Pull clumps apart to allow for thorough drying. Keep checking periodically and spreading to completely dry.

How to Build Rock Solid Self Confidence

You have probably noticed those people at work, school, and in your daily life that always appear to be self confident and on top of world.

It's important to succeed and by concentrating on the areas you are already good at you will have a better chance of becoming even more sure of yourself. Remember that success builds upon success.

3. Exude confidence even if you don't feel like it.

Talk to yourself in an encouraging way and stay away from negative thoughts and people as you can.

Instead surround yourself with positive, confident, and successful people. This will become a habit and one that will build confidence.

4. Look at yourself in a different way than you are used to doing.

It can change your life and help your confidence level to rise. See yourself as the self confident person you want to be and before you know it you will become that person.

If you have a set-back do not let it get the best of you. Remember the times when you exhibited self confidence and how good it felt and then try again and each time will help you to build confidence and confidence building will become a way of life.

Mickey Mouse Parties Never Go Out of Style

Regardless of geographic location, children of all ages love Mickey Mouse and the rest of the Disney Gang. Mickey Mouse party accessories are available at your favorite on-line party supplier. Depending upon your budget you can choose to select a few items to carry the Mickey Mouse theme, or you can select a full party package. If the guest list is older consider holding Mouseketeer auditions by playing karaoke with Disney classic songs. The kids will have a blast remembering their favorite songs and dancing around to the oldies but goodies. You can even ask older kids or adults sit in as judges dressed as Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, or any of the Disney Gang. Make sure any feedback given is always positive - and for a real laugh have the judges try to stay in character of who they are supposed to be. Provide inflatable microphones to the guests for their auditions and voila there is another favor for them to take home! Tableware, streamers, and other decorations will round out the party theme and ensure that the guests and the birthday end will have nothing but fun at their Mickey Mouse Birthday Party.

How To Put Videos On PSP In 4 Simple Steps

Sonys little wonder machine is a real jack of all trades in the electronic entertainment field-there really isnt too much that it cant do but Ive noticed that out of all my friends that have PSPs, not one person uses it for movies! I found this a little odd, until I realised that none of them know how to do it! Its not as hard as people seem to think so hopefully once youve read this article youll know how to put videos on PSP, and I can get my friends to look at this article instead of asking me questions all the time!

The first thing that stops most people from finding out how to put videos on PSP is they dont have enough free memory-You are going to need to buy as big a memory stick as you can afford-512mb is going to be the bare minimum here.

The second essential is to have a computer handy which you can link to the PSP via a USB cable. An internet connection will be useful too, but is not essential unless there are things you need to download.

1-Connect the computer and the PSP together, making sure that the PSP is switched off to begin with, and switch the PSP on once the connection is made.

2-With the PSP go into the SETTINGS menu, and press X, which should link the PSP to the computer. If you then go into MY COMPUTER on the computer, you should see an extra volume has been attached. This is the PSP/Playstation Portable.

3-Open the PSP memory card and then open the folder called PSP. With this open you need to create another folder inside that one, this one called MP_ROOT and then another one called 100mnv01

4-Save the movies you want to watch in the folder 100mnv01 and then you are ready to rock! The movies can be started by clicking on the saved image inside the memory card. One thing to note though is that the movies need to be in MP4 format (Google it), and if you want to convert your existing DVDs etc to this format you may want to get some specialized software.

A Quick Dinner Recipe Perfect For Home Or Picnic

As the weather gets warmer, a cool salad becomes a soothing treat. This quick dinner recipe for Beef Salad With Asparagus and Broccoli is a healthy dish for lunch or dinner. The vegetables are quickly blanched and cooled, then tossed with the beef and a light ginger dressing.

The vegetables and dressing can be prepared ahead and chilled, then combined when mealtime arrives, making this an ideal salad to carry for lunch or an evening picnic. If you prepare the vegetables ahead, allow them to warm to room temperature before serving for best flavor. I think that you will find that this quick dinner recipe is perfect for a picnic and much healthier that the fried chicken that too often graces our picnic tables.

Quick Beef Salad With Asparagus and Broccoli

1/2 pound deli sliced roast beef
1 bunch fresh asparagus
1 bunch fresh asparagus
leaf lettuce

Ginger Dressing:
1/3 cup light soy sauce
1/4 cup white vinegar
3 tablespoons sesame oil
1-1/2 inch piece of fresh ginger, peeled and grated
1 teaspoon sugar
white pepper

1. Slice the asparagus diagonally into 2 inch pieces.

2. Cut the broccoli into bite size florets.

3. Slice the roast beef slices into strips of roast beef.

4. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the asparagus and blanche for 30 seconds. Remove with a slotted spoon or strainer and set aside to cool.

5. Add the broccoli to the same boiling water and blanch 30 seconds. Drain well and set aside to cool.

6. Make the dressing by combining all ingredients in a small bowl.

7. Line serving bowl with leaf lettuce.

8. When the vegetables have cooled, toss together with the beef slices and dressing. Serve in lettuce lined bowl at room temperature.

Provence Steak Recipes

Want an international flair for your steaks? Try a Provence steak recipe. These are delicious steak recipes that anyone will enjoy if they like meat at all. You will enjoy serving these wonderful dishes to any dinner guests and surprising your in-laws with a real treat.

To create a Provence steak you will need Provence herbs. That is the main ingredient for these delicious steaks. For the first recipe you will need:

4 steaks,
2 teaspoons of fresh cracked black pepper,
2 teaspoons of sea salt, and
2 tablespoons of Provence herbs.
Heat your grill, mix together the pepper, salt and herbs, sprinkle on the steaks. Now, all you do is grill until desired doneness. To top of this meal serve with a nice garden salad.

For fancier Provence steak recipes you should try this one. You will need:

rib steaks,
1 teaspoon of white peppercorns,
4 tablespoons of Provence herbs,
4 tablespoons of olive oil, vegetable oil, or peanut oil,
1 tablespoon of lemon juice, and sea salt.
First you begin by crushing the peppercorns. Then in a large bowl, mix together of the Provence herbs, all of the oil, lemon juice and crushed peppercorns. Place the steaks in the mixture, turning to coat the steaks in the mixture. Cover and refrigerate for at least one hour. The longer the steaks marinate the better the flavor. Before grilling use the remainder of the herbs and spread over the grill. Grill the steaks until desired doneness and season to taste after cooking.

Provence steak recipes are easy to create, just use your favorite steak recipe and add the Provence herbs instead of what you normally use. These herbs are becoming very popular for providing steaks with a unique and awesome flavor that everyone enjoys. You can also add the Provence herbs to your favorite marinade and then baste your steaks while grilling, broiling or baking.
